Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapy service is dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve greater independence and an enhanced quality of life. We provide personalised support in acquiring Daily Living Skills, specialising in aged care rehabilitation, environmental modifications, equipment prescription, pain management, post-surgery rehabilitation, and return to work support. With qualifications such as a Master of Occupational Therapy from accredited university, registration with AHPRA, and active membership with Occupational Therapy Australia, our service is backed by a team of professionals at the forefront of the field.

Our Dietitian service, led by a qualified Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD), specializes in personalized nutritional guidance tailored for the NDIS and age care communities. With expertise in chronic disease management and prevention, including type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, our dietitian ensures individuals receive tailored support to achieve their health goals effectively. Whether managing diabetes, weight, cholesterol, hypertension, or seeking general healthy eating advice, our dietitian provides expert support for NDIS participants.

Emphasising the importance of regular foot check-ups for those with disabilities and in aged care, our podiatrists are here to support individuals. From managing chronic foot and leg pain to crafting custom-made foot orthotics, conducting paediatric foot screenings, performing ingrown toenail surgeries, and providing wart treatments and corn/callus debridement, our podiatry services contribute positively to everyday well-being.

FAQs About Our NDIS Services

What is NDIS?

NDIS stands for the National Disability Insurance Scheme, which is an Australian government initiative aimed at providing support and services to people with disabilities, their families, and carers.

Are you a registered NDIS provider?

What NDIS services do you offer?

We offer a range of allied health services under the NDIS, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, dietetics, and more. Our goal is to provide comprehensive support tailored to the individual needs of each NDIS participant.

How can I access your NDIS services?

To access our NDIS services, you need to have an NDIS plan that includes funding for the specific services you require. Once you have your plan in place, you can contact us to discuss your needs and arrange appointments.

Do you offer home visits for NDIS participants?

Yes, we do provide home visits for NDIS participants who are unable to come to our clinic for appointments. At the moment, due to our current staff capacity, we can only offer home visits within a 15 km radius from our Pain Free Clinic in Sunnybank Hills. However, we are actively working on expanding the reach of our services in the near future.

How do I know if I'm eligible for NDIS funding?

Eligibility for NDIS funding is based on various factors, including age, residency status, and the impact of your disability on your daily life. You can check your eligibility and apply for NDIS funding through the NDIS website or by contacting the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

Can you help me with my NDIS plan?

While we are not able to create or manage NDIS plans, our team can provide information and assistance to help you understand your plan and how to use your funding effectively to access the services you need.

What happens during an NDIS assessment?

During an NDIS assessment, our team will evaluate your needs and goals to determine the support and services you require. This assessment helps us develop a tailored plan to address your specific needs and maximize your independence and well-being.

How often should I review my NDIS plan?

NDIS plans are typically reviewed annually to ensure that they continue to meet your changing needs and goals. However, if your circumstances change significantly or you require additional support, you can request a plan review at any time.
