Ms. Celina Cheng
“Don’t wait to take life back in your control.
I want everyone to be PAINFREE.
I want everyone to enjoy FREEDOM.
I want everyone to be able to do what they LOVE”
Celina is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist. She has developed special interests in the management of back injuries, neck and shoulder injuries, headache, whiplash injuries (e.g: from motor vehicle accidents) and work-related injuries. Celina speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
“When I was a university student, my grandmother developed pain in the back. Pain all the time. Feels tired easily. Gradually got worse. Emotional, not happy. I asked her to get better soon so that she could come to my graduation. However, as her condition got worse, she could not walk as much, and gradually lost her independence with her activities of daily living. Eventually even taking a walk with me in the house became a luxury for me.
Seeing her like that made me feel not only sad but also helpless. I wish I could do something for her instead of just worrying about her.
I can relate to people especially elderly ones whose health and independence deteriorate due to bodily pain. I want to make a real difference to peoples’ life so that they can do what they want to do. I hope no parent or grandparent will miss out the graduation of their children or grandchildren because of pain.
I want everyone to be PAINFREE. I want everyone to enjoy FREEDOM. I want everyone to wake up everyday to decide what CAN they do, instead of choosing alternatives because of what can’t they do.
As a strong believer in treating a person as a person, rather than a condition;
I chose Pain Free. Pain free encourages me to look at the whole picture. By using a holistic approach to access, I can find and treat the root cause of the problem.”
